General Information
The AEM Business Center is a unit within the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR), that performs specialized business services in financial and human resource management for our departments: 4-H, Daugherty Water for Food Institute, Nebraska Water Center, Water Sciences Lab, Yeutter Institute, IANR Global Engagement, and the IANR Administrative Offices include IANR Finance & Personnel, CASNR Dean’s Office, ARD Dean’s Office, Extension Dean’s Office, and the IANR Vice Chancellor.
The AEM team works together to provide excellent, high-quality professional services with the highest levels of integrity, accountability and customer focus for the departments and their faculty, staff, students and clients. Major activities include budget development and administration, financial management services, human resources and payroll management, and grant development and management.

AEM Personnel
- Provides overall guidance to the Business Center staff
- Cross Functional Manager that ensures organizational- effectiveness and consistency by providing strategic & operations leadership and management for Great Plains Business Group and the Director of BC Operations, IANR F & P
- Provides fiscal coordination for the Rural Futures Institute & Daugherty Water for Food Institute
- Manages business support of the IANR Dean’s Offices, IANR Vice Chancellor, and IANR Finance & Personnel
- Financial Management for Daugherty Water for Food Institute, Nebraska Water Center, and the Water Sciences Lab
- Financial Management for CASNR, Cooperative Extension, ARD, Finance & Personnel, Vice Chancellor’s Office, Yeutter Institute, Rural Prosperity Nebraska, and Professional Golf Management
- Interlocal County Extension billings
- Extension office lease agreements and accounts
- Internal Dean’s office awards management
Human Resources Staff
- Provides human resources and payroll services relating to student, staff, and faculty positions.
- Assists in the hiring process including posting jobs and administering the hiring paperwork.
- Administers the Family and Medical Leave process.
- Coordinates hourly employee’s time entries
