General Information
The mission of the AVE Business Center is to provide efficient, thorough, and easily-accessible service in budgeting, accounting, purchasing, human resources, and grant management for our customers — the faculty, staff, and students —in the units we serve.
As part of IANR Heartland Business Center Group, the AVE Business Center is dedicated to serving the business administrative needs of the Animal Science Department, the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine, the Great Plains Veterinary Educational Center, and the Nebraska Veterinary Diagnostic Center. By combining business functions from individual units into a central office, staff members are able to specialize in specific areas, which allow them to develop a high level of expertise. This is essential to meet the increasingly complex and demanding requirements of modern academic business administration. Additionally, the Business Center has adopted many of the electronic tools of the virtual office to assure easy access by customers, regardless of where they are located.
